Quality Inspector
 

Principle Accountabilities:

Performs and documents counterweight verifications using inspection jigs and templates and common hand-held measuring devices such as, but not limited to: straight edges, protractors, calipers, micrometers, and steel rules.  Performs visual and cosmetic inspection based on established standards and guidelines.  Performs receiving and shipping inspection.  Performs simple calculations based on measurements to determine the acceptability of product.  Maintains records (both electronic and hardcopy). Uses a forklift and overhead crane to retrieve, setup, and replace inspection jigs and to move and return counterweights.  Other duties as may be assigned by management.  Qualifications include high school diploma or equivalent but not required, ability to obtain forklift license, three years manufacturing experience, plus 2 years prior experience in inspection and/or quality control using gages and calibration.
