Core Department

 

Principle Accountabilities:

 

The primary function of the core department is to create cores to re-enforce the shapes of each mold pattern.  The core department creates cores by forming sand into pre-made forms and kits for specific models.; each core is dipped into core wash, and then proceeds to having them burned to eliminate metal penetrations. Cores are distributed to the Mold department on a pre-determined schedule.
